An identification card issued by the City of Northfield at the Northfield Public Library to provide to the community an alternative identification to access city programs, services, and activities, and provide a means to substantiate a person's identity.
Ordinance 994/Ordenanza Tradicion was created to aid to the Northfield community an alternative identification to access City programs, services and activities and to provide a means to substantiate a person's identity.
Some Northfield banks may accept the Northfield City ID as a secondary form of identification in a bank transaction; please check with your bank directly for their identification policies.
Please take note of the requirements for proof of residency; you must supply a document dated within the last 30 days, such as a utility bill, pay stub, bank account statement, written verification issued by a hospital, heath clinic, or Rice /Dakota County Social Services agency confirming a minimum of 30 days residency within the last 30 days, proof of enrollment in a school within city limits, jury summons or court order in the last 30 days, or insurance bill. A MN Driver's license is NOT a valid proof of residency for a City ID.

The Northfield Public Library has begun accepting renewal applications for expiring cards. Check your card's expiration date to find out when you need to renew. Your card's expiration date is printed on the front of your card.
