Here are some things based on in-library activities that we've put together to try at home. Just download and print!
"Little Mouse, Little Mouse, are you in the red house?" Print this chanting early literacy game we often use in storytime and on the children's area magnet board. Cut out the pieces to play at home! Instructions included in pdf.

Give your next family stroll downtown an early literacy boost! Print out a "Division Street ABC" sheet or pick one up at the library. Then have fun hunting for letters together while strengthening letter knowledge and print awareness skills.
We often feature Seek & Finds in the Children's Area of the library. Kids build their number literacy and discernment (spotting) skills as they hunt for all ten items per find. If you have a printer, scissors, and tape, you can mount one of our Seek & Finds in your home! The below pdfs include the large images to cut out and hide, and a search sheet your children can use as they seek. Bonus if you have a child mastering scissors or older child who can do the cutting for you!
