Books and Reading: Overdrive for E-readers: Nook and other e-readers

1. Go to http://selco.lib.overdrive.com and Sign in to your account with your library card.
2. Search or browse for ebooks - you may limit for books in Adobe EPUB format if you like. You will need to download Adobe Digital Editions to be able to read and transfer eBooks to your eReader.
3. Once you find a desired book, click Borrow.
4. Click the Bookshelf button.
5. Back in the Overdrive bookshelf, find your title and click on the Download button next to the title.
6. A drop down menu will appear and select the EPUB format and then click confirm and download.
7. Click open on the prompt window and Adobe Digital Editions will open and your eBook will automatically start downloading.
8. Connect your device to your computer.
9. Click and drag your title to the device icon on the left of the screen to transfer your eBook to your device. Enjoy reading!

NOTE: If you are using a Nook HD or Nook HD+ you will need to download and install the OverDrive Media Console app from the Nook App Store. When the Nook software version updates, it causes incompatibility with previously downloaded content.

Follow these steps in order to fix this problem:

1) Connect the Nook to your computer

2) Open the Nook drive

3) Find the Adobe Digital Editions folder and the Digital Editions folder and delete them both

4) Disconnect the Nook

5) Open Adobe Digital Editions and reconnect the Nook

6) Authorize the Nook when it asks you to authorize a device

7) Prevously downloaded books should still be in ADE - if not, re-download them

8) Drag the book(s) back onto your Nook
